Bill, I didn't say the entire intelligence apparatus. But there is no doubt the whole political mudball damaged assets the CIA had in place and structures it had developed to perform its intelligence gathering function. Did you read the CIA's own account of Plame's status and the impact the "outing" or "leaking" or whatever you want to call it had on their programs to review WMDs in the Middle East? It was pretty darn clear that THEY (the CIA) considered the whole political mess an operational disaster in that sector...
