Nice find. I must say that even today the resources are around us to be exploited.

It will be very interesting to see the evolution of the capitalist spirit in China. They have an abundance of human resources close at hand. America was built in great part with human resources attracted from great distances (often from other continents) by the availability of natural resources.

The government of America was weak and in disarray. The government of China is well organized and rules with an iron hand when they can.
