I just got back from visiting with my neighbor, who is retiring next month. He is going back to work for a company that he helped start, a local company that publishes books on tape, CD, and MP3.

He said they often publish books that have never been on print media. They have actors read the book in a recording studio.

Sounds very interesting to me.

On another note, Costco.com has a turntable deck that converts LP albums into MP3 files for only $69. I'm going to get one and convert my LPs. I have no special love for them as objects and they might sell in antique shops or on the internet. They take up too much space and weigh too much.
