"As for Reagan, there are many who believe that Reagan sold weapons to Iran on the sly in order to keep Iran in the Iraq-Iran war as long as possible so it would go down in defeat. Now if the Shah were in power, do you really think Reagan would have done such a thing? Do you think of the Shah were in power the Reagan administration would have been enabling Saddam to get WMDs? What's silly is that you can't see the forest for the trees"

What's silly is you trying to come up with some hypothetical scenarios instead of just admitting that you had your timeline wrong.

This is ridiculous. Because the Shah died before Reagan became president is immaterial. If I screwed up a timeline, its that I thought there had been a slight overlap of their terms as leaders. But even that's not the significant factor......what's most significant is that Reagan favored the Shah and his foreign policy reflected that prejudice.

"As for my comments about scurvy and ricketts, I was well aware of the vitamin content of ketchup."

Bullshit...if you had known you wouldn't have posted anything about scurvy in relationship to ketchup.

Sigh. You are impossible to deal with when your back is against the wall. Get a grip.....go workout or take a shower. You'll feel a lot better.
