No, I've never been in the Library of Congress [though I've visited Washington a couple of times]. It does look impressive. Somehow, I like my snuggly little cubby hole of books in Onehunga. One could feel over-awed by that huge place.

Isn't Google turning all that Library of Congress into food for cyberspace? It's better to have it on-line via Kindle than tucked away in Washington in a museum behind Homeland Security.

I have been to Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome and it's more impressive than the Library of Congress. images.google.co.nz

Maybe we'll have to send some gunboats up the Yangtze to open China up for 450MHz OFDM/CDMA since the bosses in Beijing refuse to allow the population to be free to choose and is forcing them onto TD-SCDMA. While we are at it, we could supply opium which would help Afghanistan get back on its feet too [they need the cash flow]. I bet a LOT of people in China would like to relax with some opioids and relieve the pain of their suppression or actual pain from all sorts of physical problems.

My father had morphine during WWII while suffering very intense pain from dysentery and he said it was a tremendous feeling, like floating. Being relieved from serious pain, I imagine any relief would be like that. It used to be on sale in Melbourne [I read a schedule of various products and opium was one of them] in the 19th century.

Right now I have some opium poppies in our garden. Apparently it's legal to grow them here. Which seems odd since it's illegal to grow dope. Maybe they aren't the variety with the heroin components.

PS: While we are opening markets, we could send some gun-boats up the Danube, Rhone, Seine and Rhine to get CDMA2000 free to serve the serfs of Europe. The Thames is a problem as they have a large barrier at the entrance to prevent tidal surges flooding London.
