Politically speaking, I agree...GWB should have canned Armitage.

I think Armitage was given a choice, resign or be fired. He resigned the day after Powell, and likely recieved the same choice.

If it WASN'T intentional... then the motormouth should have been shit-canned a long time ago from his alleged career as a 'diplomat' --- as this is not the first time he has been observed engaging in harmful loose-lipped 'gossip'.

If it WAS intentional (& it may have been...) then he should have been PROSECUTED at best, and canned at minimum.

But REGARDLESS of whether 'intentional' or no --- BUSH should have stuck to his public pledge and fired the guy as soon as he found out (which - as the public now knows - wasn't very long after he first made the pledge!)
