"That's nothing more than a page out of the liberal playbook."

Have you told the FBI? They seem to be under the impression that crime and the economy are linked.

It isn't the only one, but it is one of the key factors in crime rate.

fbi.gov

I worked on a project back in the 1990's to enable the various jurisdictions in the state to communicate better so that crimes that are committed in various jurisdictions could be correlated to catch those who travel from jurisdiction to jurisdiction committing crimes. At the time they were difficult to catch, about the only mechanism was officers reading the newspapers.

Anyway, the Uniform Crime Reports that the FBI created to gather data so that some assessment can be made as to causes of crime has several parts which are used to assess the economic health of an area. And the data in the database seems to support the correlation between economics and the crime rate. To the point that the FBI, at least at that time, would use economic data to make projections as to the overall crime rate since most of the other factors they have identified with respect to crime tend to change much slower than the economy.

So, why not give them a ring and explain that they are wrong. I am sure you can convince them they shouldn't believe their own lying eyes...

Morality is in decline as is character.

Right out of the rightwing handbook. When things are bad, its because people are having too much sex. Look......we've been hearing that swan song for decades. And as it turns out, the drop in morality seems to be pretty much centered in the GOP camp. So please.....clean up your camp and then you can start preaching to the rest of us.

It ain't because of your economic standing in society. Let's start with the nonsense in today's schools.

Let me repeat myself......when the economy is bad, people are more inclined to commit crime. Why? Because they don't have any money....its a matter of survival.

If you guys want to remain a national party, you'd better start thinking about the little guy.....even if he/she is black and brown.
