I continue to hold shares. But guidance was troublesome, given that this was supposed to be one of their strongest quarters. Although sheer speculation, I think the Chinese manufacturer that is giving them royalties is none other than Kolin who had previously announced that they would be ramping up production of LCD TVs in a major way. And Kolin currently makes BRLC TVs. In my mind, despite the high margins on these royalties, the number is too low to give up the China market like that. I was just in China and LCD TVs cost as much there as they do here, if not more and it would be great for BRLC top line and bottom line growth to serve the market as a manufacturer, rather than as a licensor. Kolin and other suppliers are so intertwined with BRLC as equity holders, credit holders, etc, that this whole thing smacks of non-arm's length dealing.

This, by the way, is a good article that summarizes BRLC's woes.

I don't really have faith in James Li. Think he botched recent communication with shareholders and I am suspicious of his wheelings and dealings.
