I heard a really interesting thing on NPR about this. Because Reagan fired all those controllers at the same time and replaced them with scabs, all the hired scabs are now retiring at the SAME TIME! Bush's FAA planning Brownies didn't have a clue of course, so...short staffing everywhere NOW.

Yeah, a shame, but the recovery of the economy is ultimately more important. He didn't leave office with double digit unemployment and inflation like Carter did.

Of course........the GOP loves pain...it makes everything worthwhile.

Considering the economic recovery, it was indeed worthwhile.

Most people dread flying these days.

I do. Only because of the way the airlines treat passengers though.
