"Yes, and the American air controller system is a mess. Its never recovered from the Reagan years and now its a disaster waiting to happen." I heard a really interesting thing on NPR about this. Because Reagan fired all those controllers at the same time and replaced them with scabs, all the hired scabs are now retiring at the SAME TIME! Bush's FAA planning Brownies didn't have a clue of course, so...short staffing everywhere NOW.

And the budget deficit tripled under Reagan. Yeah, a shame, but the recovery of the economy is ultimately more important. He didn't leave office with double digit unemployment and inflation like Carter did. Yes, and the American air controller system is a mess. You're really reaching there. Whats the matter with it? Are planes falling from the skies? Of course........the GOP loves pain...it makes everything worthwhile. Considering the economic recovery, it was indeed worthwhile. Most people dread flying these days. I do. Only because of the way the airlines treat passengers though.
