So what's the solution to Wahabism----what they are teaching is anathema to the Christians and Jews who came to this nation to escape persecution in their own countries in Europe.

If allowed to grow will we be back to persecution of Christians and Jews.?

Re: "since 1973, the Saudi government has spent an unbelievable $87B to promote Wahhabism in the United States, Africa, Southeast Asia and Europe. According to official Saudi information, Saudi funds have been used to build and maintain over 1,500 mosques, 202 colleges, 210 Islamic Centers wholly or partly financed by Saudi Arabia, and almost 2,000 schools for educating Muslim children in non-Islamic countries in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Asia."

This most EXTREMIST of Sunni Islamic creeds was *born* in Saudi Arabia, and has been FUNDED by the oil Billions of the Saudi Monarchs for many decades now.

Saudi Arabia is the heart of the 'extremist problem' emanating from the Middle East (at least the 'heart' of SUNNI extremism, the branch of Islam that around 80% of the world's Muslims affiliate with... though Shiites, accounting for perhaps 20% or so of world Muslims, also find a second pole of religious extremism emanating from Iran....)

Out of every dollar we pay to the Saudis for oil, a chunk is siphoned off to support the creed they are trying to advance around the world: Wahhabism.

We are fools to enable this process (by obstructing efforts to get the US off of our oil dependency) and *doubly* fools to spend the extra hundreds of Billions that we have spend over the same time span in the 'military defense' of these same countries.

Every dime in Iraq... every dime spent to defend Saudi Arabia... every dime spent in subsidies to the oil business... every political obstruction to the development and improvement of other energy technologies... is money strengthening those who don't share our Democratic and religiously pluralistic values, and those who are actively our enemies.

There is no excuse for idiocy such as this any longer.
