I saw the top Palestinian negotiator on the Newshour tonight. He said that unless Bush MAKES the Israelis negotiate, nothing will happen. He said he doesn't have an army. He doesn't have a country. He doesn't have an economy. He doesn't even have Gaza. He's got no leverage.

After the photos and a little speechifyin', Bush walked away and said - (paraphrase)"Well, I got 'em here - I'm OUT."

This is just a checklist item for his Liberry, at last minute thing, so he, like all modern Presidents, can say he TRIED to get peace between the Pals and the Israelis. It was just a photo op for the Liberry. Legacy, ya know.
