Guns: The second amendment provides a right to keep and bear arms. I'll keep my guns; you keep yours. Everybody leave everybody else alone.. 2. Immigration: Entry into the United States must be by Visa or other legal method. If you didn't enter that way, you have to leave as soon as you are discovered. The method by which you leave can be left up to local authorities. The Federal Government needs to provide a reasonable means to interdict people trying to enter illegally, but the key is deportation upon discovery, as people will always find a way to enter. 3. Terrorism: It's a big issue. I think first and foremost we have to remember who attacked us and who didn't back on 9/11. We have to stop squandering our precious resources and young people in nationbuilding exercises where we won't accept the historical, cultural and religious realtieis. Personal liberties still matter; They matter a lot! I am not prepared to give any President, any government, complete control over my personal liberties to "fight terrorism". I don't believe we are fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here. I don't believe Musharref is our friend, nor are the Saudis. We are not the World's policeman but we should always protect ourselves.....There is a big difference there. Intelligence matters - both the kind between the President's ears and the kind the CIA, NSA and others can provide....but recognize that its not just collecting it, its interpreting it and listening to people that makes it valuable. Get rid of color codes for "threat levels". Remember that Sikhs are not Arabs. 4. You didn't ask this but it ties into everything else. Don't make America weak financially. A weak America that has the inability to control its own futue because its massive debt is owned by our enemies and the dollar is no longer worth owning is not a Country that can control outside events much less its own internal destiny. Republicans used to believe in a everything above. After watching the debate last night I heard them all say most of this..but of course none of them have ever actually lived it.
