Tiana, a junior squad member of the Hong Kong Golf Association, nailed the aces on the second and seventh holes of the Executive Nine par-three layout. "This is the first time she has made a hole-in-one," said her mother, Irene Lau, who was caddying. "Getting two on the same day is just unbelievable." Mum said both shots were from about 83 metres. "The first one landed before the flag and rolled in," Mrs Lau said. "My daughter screamed when she saw that happen. The next one hit the bottom of the flag pole and went in. She was just jumping for joy." Facing uncharted territory after the first hole-in-one, Mrs Lau called the clubhouse on her mobile phone and asked officials what she should do. She did not bother calling after the second, thinking officials would think she was joking. "They just told me to record the score. So I did that. I didn't want to call them again," she laughed. Iain Valentine, chief executive of association, said: "It doesn't matter on what golf course you hit a hole-in-one. It is pretty good, and to shoot two in one round is pretty amazing." Despite her feat, there have been no celebrations for Tiana, a student at Chinese International School. Her parents want to keep her feet firmly on the ground. "It was just luck. We don't want her to make a big deal of this," Mrs Lau said. "After all, she has an elder brother, Timothy, who has been playing longer and has yet to hit a hole-in-one. We have to think about his feelings, too."
