It could also be "buy the rumor sell the fact"....IMHO the Fed will cut. Lots of variables though, 1. wheres the Market is being the key one....2.Non farm payrolls, which they make any number they want it to be....3.Any suprise in the writedowns. most people are getting screwed, and this Fed will do whatever it has to help their banking buddies.. No outcry from anyone to these CEO's getting huge bucks for Bankrupting there companies. Wall St. to pass out $36billion in bonuses while their companies go down the tube. No market crash til after bonus time....IMHO <G> Forgive the rant...
