You're kidding right? Racial discrimination did not stop with slavery.......it continues right up to the 21st century. As a moral and just people, we have an obligation to level the playing field. AA is one of the ways to do that. Even with that, it will take many decades to undo the damage that has been done. You can't offset slavery. The slaves (those who where in America at least) are all dead as are the former slave owners. There is no way to rectify that injustice. Creating a much smaller additional injustice against third parties, doesn't help the slaves or punish those who made them slaves.
