Mali is one of the most backward countries of (Saharan) Africa.... Because you welcome foreigners from Africa as guest workers and then stick them in a suburb of Paris where they must stay does not mean you are not racist. We are always hearing of some racist or anti Semitic act taking place in France....Jewish cemetaries vandalized, Muslims attacked, Muslims attacking Jews, etc. To be sure, Spain, Italy and all of "Old/Eastern Europe" are much more racist than France --so much so that... they don't have any nonwhite immigrants at all! Granted, both Spain and Italy, as Mediterranean countries, do have nonwhite immigrants from Africa but those can't expect the same opportunities as their luckier fellows in France.... Then who blew up the trains in Madrid a couple of years back? Some Swedes? And the recent murder in Perugia, Italy? Why are they detaining someone who was born in the Ivory Coast and another from the Congo? Are they transplanted Swedes? There are minorities living in both Spain and Italy. Maybe Spain and Italy are more racist than France but France and Germany are not the epitomy of tolerance. And at least in Germany, the minorities are not as isolated from the rest of the population as they are in France. Even the Dutch who are noted for their tolerance are emigrating because they feel their country has become too foreign with roughly 9% of the population non Western. Compare that to the US where 20% of the population is non white. Frankly, I think you think Europe is more tolerant in general. And I disagree.......the evidence ain't there. My God.......Europeans still put their photos on their resumes. That's against the law in this country. You all haven't begun to deal with racial and ethnic issues.
