'There was nothing of that sort, although most folks did get a lot poorer virtually overnight.' High inflation is much worse for J6P. He gets screwed from all sides and can never keep up the traditional way of working hard and saving. Only way to protect himself is with property but by the time that bottoms in 2009 he'll be way too scared of that investment at exactly the wrong time before the next leg up that will be real and not credit induced like the phoney run of 2003-05..
