That's very interesting. My son's business consists of installing American made equipment in tire shops. They have computers that are probably not American, but that's just a fact of the computer world.

My first computer was an American made Kaypro, for which I paid $1500 which might be more like $5000 today after inflation. It was a shadow of what they do today.

My brother-in-law specializes in just-in-time inventory management in big manufacturing plants. He has parts shipped from all over the world, where they are finished and assembled into American made devices.

PS, I just got a new Sony laptop made in China from Japanese parts. I sprang for the $69 printer which had two rebate coupons , one for $20 and one for $50, so after postage it was essentially free. Made in Vietnam. Can you believe that?
