Investors add $14.6 bln to equity mutual funds-TrimTabs

NEW YORK, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Investors added $14.58 billion to U.S.-based equity mutual funds in the week ended Wednesday, compared to an outflow of $10.15 billion the previous week, a research firm said.

Equity funds that invest primarily in U.S. stocks posted an inflow of $7.42 billion versus an outflow of $7.93 billion the previous week, according to TrimTabs Investment Research of Santa Rosa, California.

Equity funds that invest primarily in non-U.S. stocks posted an inflow of $7.160 billion versus an outflow of $2.22 billion the previous week, TrimTabs said in a statement released on Thursday.

TrimTabs also said that exchange-traded funds that invest in U.S. stocks had inflows of $12.08 billion this week versus outflows of $4.39 billion the previous week. ETFs that invest in non-U.S. stocks had outflows of $620 million versus outflows of $141 million the previous week, it said. (Reporting by Herbert Lash; Editing by Tom Hals)
