Installed the "angel eyes" headlights on the Bimmer. Couldn't find any decent instructions for doing this on the internet, so it was a learning experience I should document.

Had to figure out from scratch how to get the necessary parts of the car removed. Now that I know how, it wouldn't take very long to do it again.

However, when I initially plugged everything in, disconnecting the side marker lights and using that plug for the "halo" lights, since it fit, I got no halos. Looked online for an answer, found none, got out the volt-ohmeter, and determined that the new lights were wired backwards. Ended up hard-wiring the halo connection, which means I still have side marker lights.

The look is really cool! However I've got major adjusting to do and it's not going to be easy. What I would've thought were adjusting screws are epoxied so they can't be turned. I'll probably be able to get it close enough with some shimming, especially on the lower outside mounting bolts, which are the ones ones that use a bolt and nut. The rest are the screws through plastic keepers like are used for interior trim pieces. The driver's side looks to be pretty close to correct adjustment, but the passenger side, especially the low beam, is way too low and to the right, which makes sense because the mounting holes didn't line up quite correctly and I had to bend things a bit.

It's really a cool/sinister look, though, and hopefully when I get everything adjusted right, I'll have lots more light than I used to. Already seems that way on the high beams.
