"Well the discussion was economic not population growth" I think everything tracks back to population growth. Without population growth, the only reason to have economic growth is to live higher off the hog. In America, we're 5% of the world's population that consumes 25% of the world's resources. 95% of the worlds population wants to live like us, but 75% of the world's resources won't enable that. We'd need the world to have 475% more resources. Something's gotta give.
