Your brother is a wise one. I had not heard that one. It is true.

Apparently the model airplane enthusiasts are buying Dewalt Lithium Ion battery packs up as fast as they are produced and breaking them up for the A123Systems Nanophosphateâ„¢ batteries. Dewalt ships a wimpy, low voltage charger that actually takes an hour to charge batteries that could be recharged in five minutes.OTOH the battery packs (if you can buy them) may last more cycles because they are being charged more gently.

It will be very interesting to see GM's electric car they ultimately produce from the technology.
