If you are looking at the data given for FLOWERS in previous posts I think you will see those are the figures PER DECADE not PER CENTURY. As I recall, they were for a period of about half a century. suppose you will also "claim" that Darwin wasn't a scientist. If you want me to diss Darwin I will. He was a gentleman "farmer" from a wealthy family who stole Alfred Russell Wallace's idea of natural selection. I don't go around assuming everyone is habitual liars. Sure you do. You've claimed AGW skeptics are in the pay of tobacco companies (for some reason). I haven't said anyone was lying. But I did say amateur record keepers are sometimes competitive and go all out to record the most or earliest of whatever their "thing" is. No cheating or lying required, simply competitive searching for an outlier. I will go further and say I don't know that that has gone on. It just may have so is worth considering.
