Given the first half of your sentence, how can you call it rational? It's only rational for an obstinate and extreme partisan.

Hum? This doesn't make sense???

Given the harm that he has done to the country, someone believing we need 'anyone but Bush' is rational.

Sorry...i may be misunderstanding your sentence. I took it to mean that, given the negative feedback to bush's policies, it is rational for Ten to respond with "ABB". You may in fact be saying that, given the premise, it is rational to feel that anyone but bush is preferable to govern the country.

I would interpret ABB symbolically to include the conservative wing of the GOP, given its complicity in the state of the country today.
