LT was on 60 minutes telling kids that "hard work is why i am where i am today." that's not even half the story. he's genetically superior (picked his parents well!) to nearly everyone on the planet to perform the function of running back. PERIOD. given his incredible good luck, he added an incredible work ethic and got to where he is today. without the luck, though, his hard work would've gotten him nowhere near an nfl career, millions of dollars, bentleys, ferraris and all the other perks. lebron is lucky. michael jordan was lucky. magic johnson was lucky. larry bird was lucky, even if he was really ugly. ;-) why is this seen as special insight? it is obviously true. a 5'2", uncoordinated, lack of fast twitch muscle michael jordan wouldn't be the best basketball player ever - regardless of if he put in 10x the work. it is amazing to me that something so obvious is missed by so many. oh, and don't bother asking me for advice... i'm just a a very fortunate guy who puts in some hard work here and there to get a little ahead of the game... you are the eminent one who has done everything to deserve everything you've gotten... and those pesky little orphaned kids born with aids obviously weren't as worthy as you, otherwise, they'd be what you are and have what you have. at least i think you are taking issue with me claiming luck had anything to do with your standard of living. if not, your ad hominem doesn't make sense.
