I didn't say it was... we were talking about government spending. I was using an extreme example to illustrate that government spending isn't a net zero to the economy. In fact it's the rough equivalent to business spending dollar for dollar.

You can argue that private sector spending is more efficient because of the vetting process... I'm not sure. Look at the mortgage fiasco. Look at the $Billions that chased bogus Internet business models.

The fact is that government spending is a large and productive part of the economy.
