Hi Chispas

first - thanks for posting that

second - OK - I'll bite:

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Will a lower Fed rate encourage the mortgage lender to finance another house in the Detroit area? Will it encourage a builder to put up more condos in Miami or Las Vegas? Will it entice the marginal homebuyer to enter into another ARM contract?
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

WHAT will it do?

regards,
John

Bonner doesn't understand that any bail out deal is a political act, not an economic one. Of course, borrowers and lenders could work things out among themselves. But where is the political advantage to that? No, we must have a program so that everyone can see how wonderful the Administration and/or Congress can be and how their programs deserve our votes and support.

As Will Rogers said, more or less, concerning these kinds of things, "f stupidity got us into this fix, why can't it get us out of it?"
