you just at random used a hot button issue like unborn stem cells

I used it because I well know your interest and position on that issue and thought that it would trigger your light bulb, not your hot button.

Since developments over time have shown that embryos apparently don't need to be sacrificed just as militias are no longer essential, then the second clause would have to be equally validated or invalidated in both cases. Your politics would have the gun rights clause validated but the embryonic experimentation invalidated. The light bulb was intended to be your recognition of that inconsistency and how much your reaction to the grammar in the Constitution was determined by wishful thinking on gun rights.

For the record, I don't favor handgun controls, either, but the 2nd amendment is not an issue over which I get exercised. I have no button, not even a warm one, nor an agenda other than my generic anti-polarization hobby-horse.

Over and out.
