Actually the great discovery is that in the last year Iran has increased its centrifuges from 300 to 3000 and is now capable of producing highly enriched weapons grade uranium.

I subscribe to the Arms Control Today Magazine. This well respected magazine is far from Conservative Propaganda.

In Vol 37 of the November issue the cover story is "Evaluating Iran's Uranium Enrichment Progress.

On page 6, they say: What a difference a year makes. In the last year Iran has increased their gas centrifuges from 300 to 3000 in a vast underground bunker at Natanz. It has stockpiled enough enrichment feedstock of uranium hexaflouride to produce highly enriched weapons for years to come. It has breakout capability to quickly create weapons grade uranium of 25 kg per comth based on their centrifuges using the batch or step method. They reliy on P1 centrifues, a dutch design bought on the black market from Pakistani Khan. They have learned how to fix and repair the P1's and now have P2s as well. They havelearned the difficiulties in operating its centrifuges in cascades. All in all they can easily make the highly enriched uranium. So is military attack an option. The magazine concludes - NO. But to say they have abandoned their efforts inlight of these facts and the IAEA reports seems strange to me.
