It's really a stretch to attempt to characterize anything that has happened in the last 6 years as having a socialist flavor. This has been the era of the most egregious transfer of wealth from the lower economic strata upward in our history. To somehow ascribe any of this to "socialist" policies in any arena is amazing. You are right that what we are seeing is much more akin to fascist behaviour than any other form of economic system. This is corp-gov rule.
