is that they aren't thinking big enough.

My response is that the planet is empty. What they perceive as "overcrowded" is due to lack of good Utilities.

Waikiki, where I live, is one of the most densely populated places in the world. Yet I am totally comfortable here. Why? Honolulu runs it like Disneyland. Right down to having more street cleaners than Disneyland.

When did we have a problem? When a sewer line broke last year. And they were right on that, I'll tell ya.

We had our first winter storm this last week. Power outages across the island. None in Waikiki! They have an average of 25,000 tourists here they want to keep happy.

My response to people who believe the world is over populated is that they aren’t thinking big enough. The better goal is to move beyond the planet with space mining to augment resources here and extraterrestrial colonies elsewhere. The universe is a big place and there will never be the possibility of overpopulating it.

Put them to work in the melange mines.
