re ww2, war was impossible because the american army was disbanding itself. Yes i would have loved to push the boundaries of freedom to the soviet border. Hell i would have loved to free stalins russia. Some things are possible and some arent. I get pissed when folks imply it would have been a piece of cake. it would in fact have been a blood bath like 100,000 casualties per 100 miles of territory.
As for iran, sun and you take opposite sides. I am in the middle and i do want to talk to them guys and find a way to normalize the cold relationship short of nukes, and short of war. So i support current policy. As for NIE analysis, who knows whats true or not anymore. You used intel to support iraq and now you refute intel because you want to attack iran. i know i know. it all depends on whose ox is being gored.
