How can it still be possible for deflation to happen 'first' -- didn't 'first' come and go 2, 3, or 4 years ago? How much longer must we wait to see what happens first, if what's happening now isn't 'first' or 'second' or 'third' already?

Bernanke has said that he will not allow deflation... even apologized to Milton Friedman about the FED's poor performance in allowing deflation in the 1930's, therefore I expect every potentially deflationary event to met with overwhelming money printing in one form or another. Today is a great example. No matter what the details might be, IMO this is a bailout and will require that mass quantities of money be created out of nothing.

Hyperinflation or crack up boom? We had lots of the latter
lately. Hyperinflation will annihilate all debt, making
deflation impossible -g-
