He seems too much an apologist for Chavez, but I do think our Democracy is broken. When money can buy jury verdicts and elections, there is something clearly wrong.

I don't think he's apologizing so much for Chavez as he is commending him for honoring the vote even as he is a buffoon. The 2006 election was referendum on the war and Bush/Cheney, without a hesitation, chose not to honor it. Since we all consider Chavez to be a more corrupted leader than Bush.....that says a lot.
