Not really Rose. It's the mob, or at least a large proportion of them, who propel the presidents to their power, keep them their and use them to take what they want and control who they want.

People like to blame Hitler, or "the Nazis" but really, it was the Germans. They adopted a cultural norm which gave them the result they got. Japan too - it wasn't Hirohito, or the politicians or the soldiers. It was Japanese.

As Gandhi said, the line between good and evil runs through the middle of each person's heart. Or words to that effect, more or less.

A president with only one acolyte is not able to do anything.
