Fiddling While it Burns: Michael Savage vs. CAIR, and Corporate America's Blind Eye
Several companies have been pressured by the euphemistically named CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) to drop their advertising support for The Savage Nation, the Independent voice of Michael Savage. These companies, pressured by a tiny group of alleged terrorist supporters, have thus given their tacit approval for the potential for another 9/11 to occur in this country, placing hundreds of thousands of American lives in jeopardy.

The depth of what is going on here cannot possibly be minimized. Michael Savage, who anyone with a mind knows is the only Independent radio voice in this entire country, is being attacked by a terrorist front group called CAIR. The phonetic pronunciation of that group's name is too ironic to the point of physical illness. And now companies like AT&T, Wal-Mart, Office Max, JCPenney and others have given their silent go-ahead for more terrorist acts against the United States by agreeing to not sponsor The Savage Nation. Silence is consent, folks. When our Constitution is attacked by those who seek to destroy it, nothing good comes from it. These companies are cowards and enemies of this nation.

Does that sound too harsh? Oh, too bad. To be pressured by people who are unindicted co-conspirators in a terrorist agenda, whose goal is to take over this country reportedly “without violence” – which, by the way, their ilk has managed oh so successfully abroad – reeks of spinelessness of the worst kind. When does this all stop? Can someone tell me that? When will this nation get treatment for the Stockholm Syndrome it has acquired? Do an internet search on Stockholm Syndrome and tell me this nation is not a victim of this. Why have we given into this disease of extremist Islam? The “religion of peace” is currently responsible for every single major war or regional conflict on this planet. Shall I repeat that? And there is nothing but silence from the so-called “mainstream” Muslims. Where is the outrage? Where is the condemnation of terrorist acts?

Michael Savage has been an invisible presence to his so-called colleagues in talk radio. And this is an orchestrated act. From Sean Hannity’s under-his-breath swipes at Savage to Limbaugh’s blatant attempts to not recognize Savage at all, these people show their total lack of depth and the very fact that they are mouthpieces of the Republican Party. Now a tiny group that has done absolutely nothing to promote American – Islamic relations, other than their own agenda and the agenda of terrorists, has decided that they cannot be criticized simply by being identified for what they are. The comfort of the darkness can only conceal the evil for so long. When brought to the light, it squirms and wriggles, clawing for survival by the most insidious means necessary.

So for the CEO’s of the above named companies, and those to be named as this lawsuit filed by Attorney Daniel Horowitz unfolds, this is going to be a wakeup call to their wallets, seeing as these soulless bastards can’t be tempted in any conscience-related regard. And as Savage himself has told his listeners that he will reveal the names of these companies, it should be an interesting series of events that will follow. I mean, look at what happened when Savage mobilized is enormous audience to protest the Immigration Reform atrocity, not to mention the infamous Dubai Ports Deal. Do these corporations really believe that millions of American listeners to The Savage Nation will just let this slide? Need I remind these spineless businessmen that there’s something called Christmas coming up? Some of the companies on the coward list are already in financial trouble. Bad move, people.

The brutal answer to all this is that no one wants any of this to end, not in corporate America. The bitter truth is that there are powerful people who want this nation to come to an end for their own reasons. So fasten your seatbelts. People can very easily say that I am being an alarmist or gloom and doom, but I defy anyone to show me evidence to the contrary. Mere observation shows that this country is following in the sandals of Rome.

My prayers and support go out to Michael Savage, who apparently is the only non-purchasable figure in the American media, let alone the government. I urge everyone to stay on top of this story, find out the names of the companies who have been blackmailed or willingly disposed to drop their support of The Savage Nation, and to refuse to spend money with them.

I have asked this on many occasions, and I will continue to do so: When does this end? When does the attack on the very core ideals of this nation become countered? And just who the hell are we waiting for to do it? I ask you, when one voice can be silenced by enemies of our culture, does it stop there?Andrew T. Durham

EU, NATO to keep pressure on Iran despite report

By Francois Murphy Thu Dec 6, 7:18 PM ET

PARIS (Reuters) - Germany and France said on Thursday Iran's nuclear program was still a threat and the search for more U.N. sanctions should go on despite a U.S. intelligence report that Tehran was no longer trying to build an atomic bomb.

EU and NATO foreign ministers, meeting for separate talks in Brussels, agreed there was no reason to change their position of threatening sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program, Belgian Foreign Affairs Minister Karel de Gucht said.

Speaking at a joint news conference with French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the existing dual track policy of preparing sanctions against Tehran while leaving the door open to negotiations should go on.

"I think that we are in a process and that Iran still poses a threat," Merkel said, adding that talks between EU mediator Javier Solana and Iran's top nuclear negotiator should continue.

Sarkozy said he fully agreed with Merkel, adding: "What has made Iran move until now is sanctions and firmness."

The U.S. National Intelligence Estimate published on Monday said Iran had stopped its nuclear weapons program four years ago. It said Iran was continuing to develop the technical means that could be applied to producing weapons.

The report appears likely to increase resistance from Russia and China to U.S. demands for a third round of United Nations sanctions against Iran over its atomic program.

Russia has said the report is a factor that will be taken into account in negotiations over sanctions, and the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog, Mohamed ElBaradei, said the NIE report "somewhat vindicated" Iran.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, in Brussels for meetings with NATO ministers, urged Russia to help maintain pressure on Iran.

EU, NATO CONSENSUS

Belgium's De Gucht said there was consensus among EU and NATO foreign ministers to keep the two-pronged approach in place.

He said Iran's work on uranium enrichment made no sense unless it was part of a plan to produce nuclear weapons. De Gucht said it did not mean Iran had decided to make nuclear arms, but once it had fissile material, it could be done in a reasonable amount of time.

Because of international concerns that Iran is secretly pursuing nuclear weapons, the U.N. Security Council has imposed two rounds of sanctions against Tehran and demanded that it halt uranium enrichment, a process that can produce fuel for power plants or, potentially, atom bombs.

Iran says it only wants to generate electricity and has a national right to uranium enrichment.

Washington has said it would keep pushing for a third round of sanctions.

U.S. deputy director of National Intelligence, Donald Kerr, told Congress on Thursday that Iran retained capabilities despite having frozen weapons development in 2003, and there was reason to believe Iran still wanted an ability to make nuclear weapons.
