It has always been the camel's nose under the tent one way or another. When Romney shifted from government recognition to "society's" recognition, the same old game was being played once more. A lack of government recognition is not a bar to social recognition - that is plain to see. But comingling and muddying the two concepts is a fine old political sleight of hand, like mixing Iraq and 9/11 and Vietnam with commies on the California beaches. Plus ca change....
