A little stomach-turning, eh? He is after the Social Conservatives. We Secular Libertarians have to put up with it or choose one of the "broken arms or legs" on the left.

I'd probably disagree with him on the first part of that sentence, but agree on the second part.

"Freedom requires religion just as religion requires freedom."

And on your second part re Bush Sr....Time will tell, but it would look that way.
