there is at least one force we are unaware of. I don't think we can even say that for sure. For example, perhaps the accelerating expansion of the universe is just like the accelerating increase in surface area of a balloon under a steady exhale. (Perhaps in more dimensions). The inflation could then be a result of the initial shape, just as many balloons start as a long skinny tube, and inflate like a pig going down a python and not an overall uniform increase. Then again, maybe it's turtles all the way down. TP
