They are all sunnis so why not.

Supposedly they are the same religion, but I get the impression that religious similarities are dwarfed by cultural differences. Kurds are not Arabs and they don't have the whole tribal shame/honor thing going that the Arabs do. I mean, when the Coalition forces toppled Saddam in 2003, did we send all our geniuses to Kurdistan and our idiots to Baghdad, or are the Kurds just 100 times easier to deal with and more concerned with rebuilding and getting on with their lives than in taking revenge for wrongs real and imagined?
