<GGG> I already knew the Buddy McKee answer to my questions. Been down that road already, and just missed getting the tee shirt. No offense, but I was wondering how Ron Paul would answer. Wish the MSM would give him a chance to really present his positions. Last time I looked, he didn't answer any of the begged questions on his website, either.

Seems to me Paul talks about the perfect world (to him) without taking into account where we are, as if he could snap his fingers and history would be re-written. F'r instance, I was also opposed to going into Iraq; but, we're there, and to my way of thinking, we can't just walk away (despite Buddy McKee protestations to the contrary <G>).

Similarly, we can't just walk away from our other foreign commitments, the vacuum that would be left would disrupt virtually the entire stability in the world.

And, how would Paul get along with the entrenched powers in Congress? I remember the early years of the Carter Administration (shudder) when he was effectively impotent because he didn't have the Beltway contacts needed to make things happen.

Paul's a smart cookie, and I know he's thought all these things through. I'd just like to be privy to some of his thinking.

Just more BS, this completly ignores the most likely outcome of an immediat pull out. That is that Iraq has a civil war and it is likely it will pull in Syria, Iran, Turkey, and possibly Saudia Arabia. This may increas terrorist activaty among each other, Israel, and good ole USA. It would also disrupt oil shipments around the world. It could even be the start of WW III, that may or may not go nuclear.
