One of my biggest concerns on the road is the car next to me deciding to change into my lane. I'm extra cautious on the highway and try not to spend much time exactly along side another car. I'll speed up to get just far enough past to be comfortable he can see me, or drop back for the same reason.

Our Denver metro area is full of very poor drivers, and all are speeding. When I have the option, I will always take the "back" way and stay off the main streets or freeways.

When I first moved to Seattle from Washington, DC area in 1988, things were a bit slower in the PNW than they are now. We found that our "Eastern Ways" did not sit well with some people. We'd get in a crowd and instead of going with the flow, would find ourselves bobbing weaving to get through, and sometimes heard muttered comments about "pushy east coasters" (not that we were actually pushing anyone). We eventually slowed down, and now we complain about the "Pushy Californians."

Any word on the status of your riverbed property?
