Glad you got the memo< The official copout (that he didn't know) is being used to protect the president and the republicans from political hacks, democrats, and other Bush haters that are attempting to spin rhetoric that was leading to nothing imminent into a negative for their own political gain. This report was actually an intelligence success (assuming we are right and Israel is wrong) and risk reducing development. Not that the president should get much or any credit for the intelligence success (or blame for failures), but it's a generally good sign for the country that we figured out what was going on before something stupid happned.
