If sea level rises, it rises, but there's nothing we can do about it except move to higher ground.

It is rising because of natural earth events. It has been doing so since the last mini ice age. The water level rose only one foot in the last 150 years, easy enough to build a dyke one foot above max sea level. For the next ten decades it will be less than ten feet taller, so we don't have to move to higher ground.
