Maybe he hit it out of a specific ballpark, but he sure left a few of us feeling nervous. There was just too much connecting of God to patriotism for me. His intended audience must have been the religious right.

You know, I was reading about the San F Fair, where small children were present watching adults in S-M activities, and I was appalled. I won't even pretend to be openminded about this. Some things just should not see the light of day.

I hate in your face stuff, anyway-- hetero sex, gay sex-- and religion.

With Romney, it was different, and maybe a bit worse; it was as if he just shoved secularists to the side. We didn't even enter the patriotic equation. He spoke of secularism in antagonistic terms. That bothered me a lot.
