And as a matter of fact, you have been making factual misstatements about the Bible itself. Like, for example, denying that the Apostle Paul or the Gospel of Luke mention Jesus. Little factual problems like that. And the Bible certainly is the ultimate source of information on the subject of what material is in it.Your insistence I read it suggests you think I will be convinced it is factual and not just a religious document My suggestion you read it is so you can be informed rather than grossly misinformed. Your unwillingness to even view the text to inform yourself of basic information actually suggests that you fear it. And I will admit to baiting you about that fear hoping you will try informing yourself just to show you aren't afraid of the Bible. But that didn't work. Apparently you are afraid of reading the Bible. Why would I ever look to the Bible for historical or academic information I don't know about you, but it is an ancient text. And ancient texts are pretty interesting to historians and academics. What in there would convince anyone that Jesus is a divinity???? Well, that would be an explanation for how a small religious movement whose leader was killed, instead of disappearing and giving up their faith in despair, became emboldened and aggressively began missionizing the hostile Roman empire ultimately prevailing over all competing religions, becoming the largest religion in the world and changing the world dramatically for the better. The Muslim religion was founded by a successful bandit leader who became a conquerer. So the early years of the religion were ones of successful conquest. The Buddhist religion was begun by a prince from a wealthy ruling family. So he was an attractive figure to lowly people. Though they were and are very different religions, in both cases, there was something successful and desirable to attract people. As Osama said, "When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse." Worldly success is attractive. But Jesus was a nobody who was killed and seemingly thoroughly defeated. Yet his movement didn't die but became the greatest religion of all. Now I don't expect you to consider it evidence, but if in fact Jesus did rise from the dead, that would explain why his followers burst out of the gloom and despair following the crucifixion and took on the world. I know you also wouldn't be impressed as evidence by the extensive record of profoundly changed lives from accepting Jesus either. But there is such a record. No, you can rest easy. I don't have any proof that will compel you to give up your atheist faith. Breathe easy.
