Ted, according to you, Gov. Gregoire said that the recent storm in the Pacific NW was the "worst one in 150 years."

The description of the Columbus Day Storm of 1962 would by itself disprove what Gregoire just said. In other words, strong storms like the one you just felt isn't unprecedented.

As for the supposed connection to global warming, if a severe storm 45 years ago was due to global warming, and if the emissions of greenhouse gases have been accelerating over the past two decades, then surely we'd be seeing even more extreme weather than 1962, no?

Seems like anything these days can be attributed to global warming. No rain? Global warming. Too much rain? Global warming. Melting snow caps? Global warming. Huge blizzard? Global warming.

Oops, now I just exposed my "neocon, anti-Christ" bias, LOL ...
