Three trillion is a definite high-side estimate. But, those wounded just keep being sent back from Iraq and Afghanistan, with no end in sight.

You know, it's not the American soldiers that get killed that are the super-expensive liabilities. It's the ten for every one killed that our modern medicine manages to "save", although they might not have all their arms or legs or brains. The body armor seems to keep their torsos together and keep them alive.

We're going to have to keep paying for those guys until they die, with your taxes!
