The problem is the rightwing lie and smear campaigns which are heavily funded portraying soldiers on TV claiming they want to stay in Iraq until kingdom come to "win". Even though it is not a "war" and not something we can "win" militarily, so the whole campaign is a huge lie. Nevertheless, moderate democrats in reddish states fear being targeted by these dishonest ad campaigns. And who pays for these ads? The same people who got us into Iraq and wanted to go to war against Iran, both justified by mountains of lies and misleading propaganda. Also, unfortunately, there are still some 30% of the public who actually believe the total crap put out by the Bushie rightwing war and corporate fascist rule machine. So yes, people are disappointed in congress, mainly for not impeaching Cheney and Bush a year ago as they should have.
