amid the madness as evidenced on this thread, let's you and I continue to pray that oil prices stay high and oil shortages become the norm. Only then can we be assured of market forces eliminating oil as the primary resource used for our transportation sector. When that happens, we will have bought national, economic, and climate security for this country. It's too bad the current group of neo-cons in power can't see that, and their voting constituency is too stupid and sheepish to think critically and independently enough to make up their own minds about it.

Well said and I agree.

I see a 'crisis' coming, and I don't see anyway to avert it with our current near-sighted politicians. Any interruption of oil from a handful of countries could throw the world into a severe recession, if not a real depression.

It would be great to get out in front and avert the 'energy crisis'... but I think the crisis has to happen. Then you will see the energy "Manhattan Project" we real need.

In the meantime its probably a good idea to invest in companies that will provide the solutions. There will be a lot of damage to a lot of people when the sh-t hits the fan...
